Softball Team

The EBF girls softball team captured 3rd place at the state tournament on Friday, July 28 winning 14-2 over East Marshall. Megan Lobberecht and Kate Shafer earned All-Tournament team selections. In the final game the entire team contributed to their win. The team was lead by home runs in the final game by Megan Lobberecht, Kate Shafer, and Ella Ray. Prior to the start of the consolation final game the EBF Rockets are chill'n in the dugout. Congratulations to all players, coaches, parents, and other fans who traveled to their games.

Mr. Fenton is quoted in the Ottumwa Courier article with the following statement, the statement is so true. "You don't get a lot years where a group of girls experience this much success together. It just goes to show that hard work pays off. That's what we've seen in volleyball, basketball, track and softball. That's huge to experience those games. Those regional finals alone are the toughest games to win. These kids believe in themselves. They might have been the only ones at times that believed we had chances to have this type of success."
