Each month the students have a specific goal that they try to focus on and work to improve their skills in that area. This month with Thanksgiving right at the end of it, our goal was gratitude. After discussing a few things that we were grateful for, the kids decided that in a show of gratitude to the Eddyville Volunteer Fire Department , they wanted to raise some funds to help them out in any way that was needed.
Mrs. Walker shared a few words on how the fundraising went:
“Our SEL goal for the month was Gratitude. To show our appreciation to the Eddyville Volunteer Fire Department we raised $403. The teachers who helped with this fundraiser were Shawna Padgett, Tammy Walker, and Terri Bankson. We also had several staff members donate drinks for the fire station.”
