After a great run last year qualifying for the state tournament for the second year in a row, this year the Rocket Girls Basketball team is back and better than ever. For the first time in program history our team was preseason ranked #1 in 2A. The Rockets are currently 5-0 to the season with a big win over the #3 ranked team in 2A, Cascade at the Rivalry Saturday game at Kirkwood College. The Rivalry Saturday game is an invite only event where the best teams from all classes face off against each other. The Rockets also pulled off a nail biting win over a very physical Pella Christian team where there was blood, sweat, and chipped teeth. Now the Rockets are heading into conference play and are already 2-0 in the conference and looking to win it for the fourth consecutive year in a row.
