Seniors: Kate Shafer, Molly Shafer, Chloe Lyon, Ava Eastlick, Kadence Heald, Kaylee Helm, Joseph Smith, Jessilyn Mick, Gracie Denham
Coach Fenton shared the following with the fans present Friday:
For nearly 4 years their unselfishness, leadership, sacrifices and work ethic have left an indelible mark not only on the basketball court but off as well. All who have shared their high school basketball experience with them are better off for it.
They enter Friday’s game with a two-game lead in the South Central Conference race with 3 games remaining in conference play, a lead which if it holds would be the fourth conference championship in a row. (This has occurred, 4 straight conference titles, Congratulations!!)
They are currently riding a 44-game winning streak in conference games, winners of 57 of their last 58 regular season games, and an overall record of 63-3 during that period.
They have been ranked in the top 10 in Class 2A every week for that time span, including the number one ranking every week so far this season. They will enter the postseason next month seeking their third consecutive trip to the state tournament.
To say they will be missed is just a bit of an understatement. Their impact and the memories will never be forgotten. Nicely done girls. Very nicely done.
I would like to add the following statement to all the seniors pictured above:
On behalf of EBF, I want to extend my sincere gratitude to our seniors for their dedication, hard work, and leadership. Your commitment to teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship has set a strong example and contributed to the pride of our EBF school and community.
Know that your efforts and achievements on and off the court have made a lasting impact. Thank you for representing EBF. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors!
